The so-called Russian “volunteer organizations” led by a deputy from Putin’s party sent the city’s residents to “filtration” in occupied Mariupol (east of Ukraine), after which they were deported to the depths of Russia or imprisoned. It became known on August 21, 2022.

Journalists established that the organizations “Young Guard” and “Volunteer Company” are involved in the so-called deportation, and these organizations are directly connected to Vladimir Putin’s party and are overseen by a native of Mariupol.
These organizations position themselves in Mariupol as volunteer organizations. In social networks, they spread information about how they help the residents of the city – they chop firewood, distribute bread, etc. They will also say that they are helping residents to evacuate. However, according to journalists, in reality, people are sent to filtration camps, and after that, at best, they are forcibly deported to Russia, and at worst, they are sent to prison.

According to journalists, the work of the “volunteers” is overseen by Dmitry Sablin, a member of the Russian State Duma from the “United Russia” party, known as the leader of the Russian “Antimaidan” movement, who was born and grew up in Mariupol.
The fact that the process of sending Mariupol residents to filtration camps and deportation is personally managed by a deputy of the Russian State Duma from Putin’s ruling party confirms that Russia supports the genocide of Ukrainians at the state level.
