It is expected that the program will be implemented from May 30. Two existing grant systems will be used to release the funds.
Ukrainian evacuees aged under 65 will be added to the incentive grants system covering employment for elderly people, individuals with disabilities and single mothers. The grants, effective for a year, will be 600,000 yen for small- to medium-sized businesses, and 500,000 yen for large companies.
There is also another system of employment subsidies, which will be paid to companies that usually hire people for three months. These are primarily those who cannot get a stable job, such as the long-term unemployed, who are not currently working and studying at the same time. Subsidies for companies that hire such people will amount to 120,000 yen per employee for a maximum of three months.
