“The leaders agreed to continue to maintain close coordination to continue supporting Ukraine and further economic isolation of Russia,” the Canadian Prime Minister’s Office said.
It is noted that the interlocutors expressed concern over the global impact of the war in Ukraine, including the consequences for energy and food security.
“The Prime Minister and Chancellor praised the Ukrainian people for their steadfast courage in the face of Russian aggression. They reaffirmed their strong support for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his government and pledged to continue supporting Ukraine’s economic, security, and humanitarian support,” Trudeau said.
