Ukraine reports 45 Russian attacks in last day, Maryinka checkpoint comes under fire

Combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 45 times in the past 24 hours, according to the press service of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.

In the Mariupol sector, the enemy fired 120mm and 82mm mortars on the towns of Maryinka and Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Shyrokyne, Chermalyk, Talakivka and Vodiane. The militants also opened fire from grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicles and small arms on the villages of Novotroyitske, Starohnatіvka, Shyrokyne, Hnutove and Pavlopil.

Furthermore, the occupiers fired automatic grenade launchers on the Maryinka entry/exit checkpoint.

In the Donetsk sector, the militants fired mortars, grenade launchers, and heavy machine guns on the towns of Avdiyivka and Svitlodarsk, and the village of Luhanske. Additionally, a sniper was active in Luhanske.

”In the Luhansk sector, Russia`s hybrid military force repeatedly fired 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and anti-aircraft guns on the villages of Krymske, Novozvanivka, Novo-Oleksandrivka and Stanytsia Luhanska, as well as small arms on the village of Katerynivka,” the report says.
