Zhytomyr armored plant to launch production of BTR-4 APCs

State-run Ukroboronprom Concern, which unites major enterprises of Ukraine`s military and defense industry, intends to launch a full cycle of production of modern BTR-4 armored personnel carriers (APCs) at the Zhytomyr armored plant in the near future.
According to the press service of the concern, the plant has already mastered the production of cases for this technique.
”The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive modern and powerful light armored vehicles of Ukrainian production much faster. The Zhytomyr armored plant has already drafted all technical documentation for the armored vehicles. The nearest plans of the enterprise are state tests and the delivery of BTR-4 APCs for the needs of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, the National Guard and other law enforcement agencies to strengthen the country`s defense. Henceforth, Ukroboronprom will be able to produce more BTR-4 APCs under the state order,” the press service quoted Ukroboronprom CEO Roman Romanov.
Ukroboronprom also said that more than 80 BTR-4 APCs had been delivered to Ukrainian military during the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine.

State-run Ukroboronprom Concern was established in 2010 to ensure effective operations and management of state-owned business entities that develop, manufacture, sell, repair, modernize and scrap weapons, military and special equipment and ammunition, and participate in the military and technical cooperation. The Concern incorporates over a hundred enterprises of Ukraine`s defense industry.
