Yatseniuk still believes in Minsk agreements

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said he is convinced that the Minsk agreements may still lead to a peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas.
He said this at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“The Minsk protocol is a 12-point plan that can still bring peace to Ukraine and stop Russian military aggression,” Yatseniuk said.
He said that Ukraine had done everything possible to achieve peace, including in the framework of the Minsk agreements.
Instead, Yatseniuk said, Russia has made no steps towards de-escalation of the conflict. “Russia does not want peace. If [Russian President Vladimir] Putin wanted peace, the Minsk protocol would have been fulfilled in reality, not on paper. Russia is obliged to fulfill what it signed and what it promised to the whole world,” he said.
