Verkhovna Rada, European Parliament to vote for ratification of association agreement at 13.00

The Verkhovna Rada will vote for the ratification of the Association Agreement with the European Union on Tuesday.
The ratification procedure will start simultaneously: in the Verkhovna Rada at 13.00 Kyiv time and in the European Parliament at 11.00 CET, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said at a meeting with the leaders of parliamentary factions and groups, the press office of the head of state reported.
According to the president, the European Parliament held preparations for the ratification under a special shortened procedure. “The things that required three or four months of hard work in preparing for ratification in the European Parliament were done in a very short period of time – we spent only two weeks,” Poroshenko said.
