Ukrainian Border Guard Service press secretary Oleh Slobodyan announces an increase in guardsmen`s salaries, in particular, a junior officer will get about UAH 9,500, or $380, per month.
”The State Border Guard Service has received funding for payment of decent salaries to personnel. As the President of Ukraine promised on May 28, from now a contract serviceman will receive at least UAH 7,000 [$280], while junior officers will get about UAH 9,500,” Slobodyan wrote on Facebook.
According to him, it is a good prospect for the patriotic youth to continue serving as border guards.
