Ukraine ups reverse gas supplies from Europe by 42%

Ukraine imported 3.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Europe in January-October 2014, which was 42% more than the same period last year, the press-service of PJSC Ukrtransgaz has reported.
“In October this year, Ukraine imported 892.2 million cubic meters of natural gas. The whole volume of natural gas came from Slovakia and Poland, in the amount of 809.3 million cubic meters and 82.9 million cubic meters respectively,” reads the report.
The company said that a record 30.4 million cubic meters was supplied to Ukraine on October 20 through the Slovak transit corridor.
As reported, from October 1, Ukrtransgaz started automatically publishing data on the transit of natural gas to the EU on the information platform of the association of European gas transport networks.
