Ukraine to supply missiles to Polish fighter jets – media

A consortium formed by Polish WB Electronics and Ukrainian SpetsTechnoExport won the tender for the supply of 40 missiles to war planes of the Polish air force, according to Radio Poland.
”The Ukrainians will supply R-27ER radar-guided medium-range missiles. It is not a too modern technology, but the requirement is met regarding their full compliance with the standards of the aircraft and the radar,” a Polish specialist in the field of the Air Force and a journalist of Defence24.pl portal Juliusz Sabak told the publication.
He noted that the aircraft were adapted to NATO standards, but they still carried the standard Russian armload. Therefore, Poland had to decide either on delivery of Russian missiles that seems questionable for many reasons, or search for another manufacturer.
And today, the only manufacturer of these types of missles, except Russia, is Ukraine.
