Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has called on MPs to work effectively so as to be able to submit an application for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union in five years.
He said this in an extraordinary address on Ukraine’s domestic and international situation in the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“The coalition has been created. We have the political will to make changes… We are beginning to work so that we can be ready to apply for EU membership in five years,” he said.
