Ukraine starts building wall on border with Russia

The construction of a safely fortified border between Ukraine and Russia began on September 10 on the instruction of the Ukrainian president, the press center for the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) has reported.
“The implementation of priority work on the fortification equipment and installation of artificial obstacles on the determined areas has begun,” reads the report.
The ATO press center said that it was planned to create two defensive lines to prevent the entry of opponents into Ukraine.
The bulk of the work includes about 1,500 kilometers of trenches and communication trenches, over 8,000 trenches for vehicles, over 4,000 dugouts and the creation of a 60-kilometer-long non-explosive barrier.
