Ukraine sees decline in oil and gas condensate production since start of year

Ukraine witnessed a decline in oil and gas condensate production in January-June 2016 of 10.2% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 1.1 million tonnes, the press service of Ukraine`s Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry reported.
The Ukrgasvydobuvannya and Ukrnafta companies, owned by NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, reduced the production of oil and gas condensate in this period by 9.2% y-o-y to one million tonnes, according to the ministry.
In particular, Ukraine produced 18,400 tonnes of oil and gas condensate in June 2016, which was 9.3% lower than in June 2015.
As UNIAN reported earlier, oil production in Ukraine from January to May 2016 (excluding the Russian-annexed Crimea and the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone) decreased by 11.6% y-o-y to 691,000 tonnes, according to the State Statistics Service data.
Last year, oil and gas condensate production in Ukraine declined by 11.8% compared with 2014 to 1.801 million tonnes.
Ukraine`s major oil and gas producers are Naftogaz`s subsidiaries, Ukrgasvydobuvannya and Ukrnafta, in which state holder Naftogaz owns a controlling stake.
