Ukraine sees 32 attacks in Donbas in last day

Combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 32 times in the past 24 hours, including 16 times in the Mariupol sector, 10 times in the Donetsk sector and six times in the Luhansk sector, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) headquarters.

In the Luhansk sector, the enemy resorted to armed provocations near the village of Novo-Oleksandrivka and the town of Popasna where the militants used small arms. In addition, the enemy fired grenade launchers on the Ukrainian positions near Novo-Oleksandrivka.

In the Donetsk sector, the militants fired grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms near the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Kamianka and Zaitseve.

In the Mariupol sector, Russia`s hybrid military force violated the ”ceasefire” near the town of Maryinka, and the villages of Pavlopil, Shyrokyne, Starohnativka and Bohdanivka, using small arms and machine guns. The occupiers also used infantry fighting vehicles to attack the village of Talakivka. Additionally, they opened fire from grenade launchers on Shyrokyne and Bohdanivka.

The Ukrainian army spotted five enemy UAVs over Donbas in the last day, the headquarters said.
