Ukraine`s President Petro Poroshenko has expressed confidence that Ukraine will soon receive the next tranche of financial aid from the European Union (EU).
”I am convinced that the EU will make a decision in the near future. Only a few weeks left for united Europe to open its visa-free doors for Ukrainians. I am sure we will soon receive a strong financial cushion for reforms in the form of a tranche from the EU, and I am also convinced that we will win, that a united strong Ukraine will win,” Poroshenko said in Kharkiv during a ceremony to mark the opening of new metro station Peremoha (literally ”Victory”).
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine expects to receive EUR 600 million in macro-financial assistance from the EU.
