Ukraine government to select customs service chief in near future

New chief of the Ukrainian customs service may be appointed in the near future, according to Yuriy Fedchyshyn, the advisor to Prime Minister of Ukraine and deputy head of the State Fiscal Service (SFS), which is in charge of the customs operations.
”The chief of the customs service will be appointed in the near future, and the selection process is in full swing,” Fedchyshyn told reporters at a round-table discussion.
Both local and foreign candidates can qualify for the position who possess the relevant professional skills and reputation.
”This should be a person who will promote state interests and respond to business requirements,” Fedchyshyn said.
