Ukraine, EU to discuss trade liberalization at Association Committee meeting

A meeting of the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee, scheduled for April 12-13, will focus on discussions over further trade liberalization and intensification, Ukraine Trade Representative Nataliya Mykolska wrote on Facebook.
”We will work together to solve problems that may arise in the process of trading between the parties, negotiate the deepening of cooperation, trade intensification and liberalization,” Mykolska wrote.
According to her, the Committee would help make a trade dialogue more regular and more efficient in addressing the issues related to the implementation of Ukraine-EU Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA).
As UaPosition reported earlier, the first meeting of the Ukraine-EU Association Committee to discuss trade cooperation between the parties will be held in Kyiv on April 12-13.
The parties will discuss the development of relations with other trading partners. In addition, the first meeting will put in place an institutional mechanism for the implementation of DCFTA, envisaging that the activity of four specialized subcommittees will be launched dealing with sanitary and phytosanitary issues, customs and trade facilitation, geographical indications, as well as trade and sustainable development.
