The Embassy of Ukraine in France calls on the French government to maintain its firm position on the issue of anti-Russian sanctions.
”The Senate has adopted a resolution calling for lifting sanctions against Russia. The firm position and the responsibility of the French government are crucial,” the Ukrainian embassy wrote on Twitter.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the upper house of the parliament of France (the Senate) on Wednesday appealed to the government urging it to phase out economic sanctions imposed by the European Union against Russia.
The document is not binding on the government but reflects a political position (recommendations) of the parliament.
