U.S. to deploy tanks in Eastern Europe

In the next few years the United States plans to deploy in NATO countries about 150 tanks and other armored vehicles, some of which will be located in Eastern Europe.
This was stated by Lieutenant-General Frederick Ben Hodges, Commanding General of U.S. Army Europe, the Yevropeiska Pravda online newspaper reported, with reference to Lithuania’s Delfi.
“U.S. tanks in Europe will be deployed as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, the goal of which is to strengthen the security of the Baltic States and Poland in the context of an aggressive policy by Moscow in the east of Ukraine,” reads the statement.
