Steinmeier notes progress at Normandy Quartet ministers meeting

The meeting of the foreign ministers of Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine on Wednesday evening in Berlin represented “not a breakthrough”, but brought “tangible progress”.
This was stated by Germany’s foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, an Ukrinform correspondent reported citing the press service of the German official.
“In my opinion, the meeting was not a breakthrough, but we saw tangible progress,” Steinmeier said.
Steinmeier added that ministers had managed to agree on pulling back heavy weapons 15km from a demarcation line defined in last year’s Minsk agreement.
German foreign minister also said that Russia had promised to influence the terrorists. He added that the trilateral contact group was to meet “as soon as possible”.
