SBU has evidences of Russia’s shelling in Mariupol

Shelling of residential areas in Mariupol from the Russian artillery was conducted at the order of the Russian army officers. After firing, artillery was brought back to Russia.
Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Valentyn Nalyvaychenko has announced this on Monday at a press conference, citing evidence of aerial photographs, interception of talks between terrorists and Russian military and testimonies of detained gunner, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“January 24, the aggressor committed a crime against humanity, having used artillery battalion and shot dead civilians of Mariupol with extremely dangerous Russian artillery systems,” Nalyvaychenko said.
He noted that the Russian officers had given command to shoot.
According to Nalyvaychenko, at 14.20 militants stopped shelling on civilians of Mariupol as they had received information that the OSCE mission went to Novoazovsk district.
