Russian proxies attack Ukraine 55 times in last day

The combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 55 times in the past 24 hours, including 25 times in the Donetsk sector, 19 times in the Mariupol sector, six times in the Luhansk sector and five times on different parts of the area, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
According to the report, the situation was most dangerous in the Donetsk sector, where the militants fired automatic grenade launchers, mortars of various calibers and self-propelled gun mounts on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Zaitseve, Maiorsk, Kirove and Leninske, as well as mortars near the villages of Opytne, Novoselivka Druha and Novhorodske, the ATO HQ said in an update as of 06:00 Kyiv time on June 26.
”In general, about 130 mines and more than 100 shells were launched on our positions,” the press center said.
In the Mariupol sector, the Russian-backed mercenaries opened fire from machine guns and grenade launchers on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the villages of Novotroyitske, Berezove, Bohdanivka, Talakivka and Shyrokyne, as well as 82mm mortars on the Ukrainian positions near the town of Maryinka and the village of Taramchuk.
In the Luhansk sector, the occupiers fired small arms, heavy machine guns and anti-aircraft guns on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the towns of Popasna and Zolote, and mortars near the village of Novozvanivka. By conducting fire at random, the enemy attempted to provoke the Ukrainian troops to fire in response, the headquarters said.
