Ten Su-27SM and four Su-30M2 fighter aircraft arrived at the Belbek airfield in Sevastopol from the Krasnodar territory on Wednesday, November 26, TASS has reported.
“Today will be a significant day for all of us when modern combat aircraft landed on our runway. After hard work the airfield turned into and became one of the most modern ones,” the acting commander of the 27th mixed air division, Igor Romanov, said.
According to the Russian agency, the air regiment in Belbek will now have 24 combat aircraft and six training planes. The first training flights will begin on December 1.
