Russia conducts military exercises in occupied Crimea

Russian divisions responsible for providing logistical support are determining what tasks are needed to support the forces in occupied Crimea, according to RIA Novosti.

”The divisions providing logistical support have started working on practical tasks to support the forces in the sea and ground landfills of the Republic of Crimea,” Russian Deputy Defense Minister Gen. Dmitry Bulgakov said.

According to him, a logistical support unit of the Southern Military District ”is working on practical tasks for providing comprehensive logistical support to the land group and for amphibious landing” at the Opuk landfill in occupied Crimea. 

As reported earlier, Russia has begun military exercises near the NATO borders, with the participating of about 6,000 soldiers from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
