Rada registers motion to appoint Groysman PM

The Verkhovna Rada has registered a draft law on the appointment of Rada Chairman Volodymyr Groysman Prime Minister of Ukraine.
Relevant bill No. 4420 of April 14, 2016 is published on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was a subject of legislative initiative.
As UaPosition reported earlier, Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Sunday announced his resignation, which was to be authorized by lawmakers on Tuesday. His resignation has offered a chance to set up a new coalition in parliament and form a new government.
Following Yatsenyuk`s statement, Poroshenko said he was ready for any prime minister but would prefer to see Rada Speaker Volodymyr Groysman, the incumbent parliament speaker, in the premier`s office, who will need to receive at least 226 votes in parliament to be approved as prime minister.
The Ukrainian parliament`s coalition gathered on Wednesday evening to decide on Volodymyr Groysman`s candidacy for the post of prime minister in Ukraine and nominate him for consideration by President Petro Poroshenko, who should then table his motion in parliament for voting.
The majority of the coalition supported Groysman`s nomination, according to a source speaking on condition of anonymity.
