Preliminary data reveal outcome of 1st round of Kryvyi Rih mayor elections

Opposition Bloc`s Yuriy Vilkul secures lead, while Semen Semenchenko of Samopomich party runs second, according to the preliminary data on counted votes by the election commission.
In the special election of the Mayor of Kryvyi Rih, incumbent Mayor Yuri Vilkul won the first round scoring a comfortable 73.9% of votes, says the report, according to 0564.ua local news service referring to the Kryvyi Rih election commission.
Semen Semenchenko received 10.74% of ballots (30,777 votes), while Svitlana Sova from Syla Liudey (Power of the People) party – 4.6% (13,190) and UKROP`s Mykola Kolesnik got 4.3% (12,315).
Ihor Levytskiy of People`s Control got 2.58%, or 7,405 votes. 
55.88% of registered Kryviy Rih residents showed up on Sunday to cast their ballots, according to the report by the local election commission.
