Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has congratulated the Crimean Tatars on Flag Day.
”Congratulations to the Crimean Tatar people on Flag Day!” Poroshenko wrote on Twitter.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on Sunday, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people will hold a series of events in Kyiv and other cities in celebration of the Crimean Tatar National Flag Day.
The symbol of the Crimean Tatar flag is a sign – a golden tamga on a blue background.
Ukraine began to celebrate the Crimean Tatar National Flag Day in 2009.
