Pro-Russian journalist and a key witness in a criminal case related to a pro-Russia rally in Kyiv, Oles Buzyna has been shot dead on Thursday afternoon, April 16, 2015, by shots from a passing car, near his house in Kyiv, Ukraine.

“Criminal investigators of the Interior Ministry have been solving the murder for two months. They got the facts straight and received direct evidence of who participated in the crime, including those who committed it,” said the Interior Minister of Ukraine.

The two suspects were arrested in Kyiv on Thursday morning. They are citizens of Kyiv:

“Andriy Medvedko, born Sept. 27, 1989, and Denys Polishchuk, born June 14, 1990. The investigation has found how, when and who sold these two persons a car used for spying upon Buzyna and for fleeing from the crime scene after the murder. Subsequently, the car was identified and corpus delicti seized from it,” stated Arsen Avakov.

This statement is a flagrant violation of the foundations of justice because the Minister states that the suspects are guilty before the court. Only in the trial can be found the accused guilty or not guilty. Friends of the suspects state that suspicion is fabricated because detainees are activists and fighters in volunteer battalions and had a conflict with the police during the protests against Yanukovych.
