PACE`s debate on Savchenko postponed until Apr 21 – MP

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has rescheduled a debate on the illegally convicted Ukrainian pilot, MP and member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Nadia Savchenko for April 21, MP of Ukraine, Chair of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE, President of the PACE Committee for Culture/Media Volodymyr Ariev wrote on Facebook.
”PACE has postponed a debate on Savchenko until Thursday. A special part of the report on prisoners is to be prepared. We will not forget to mention other Ukrainian prisoners of the Kremlin,” Ariev said.
As UaPosition reported earlier, Savchenko`s question had to be considered at the PACE spring session on April 18.
On March 22, the Donetsk city court of Rostov region (Russia) sentenced Savchenko to 22 years in prison for the alleged murder of two Russian journalists.
After the verdict, Savchenko said she would not appeal, and from April 6, she resumed hunger strike, demanding her return to Ukraine.
On April 17, Savchenko`s lawyer Ilya Novikov said his client had been put on a drip after her sister, Vira Savchenko, managed to persuade her into having intravenous infusions, but Nadia`s condition was critical, she`s completely exhausted.
