Head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry`s Communications and Press Department Oksana Havryliuk says more than 20,000 soldiers on a contract have been enlisted in the Ukrainian army since the beginning of 2016, according to an UaPosition correspondent.
”Over the past week, about 500 people, including conscripts and mobilized soldiers, have enlisted contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More than 1,800 people plan to join the army,” she said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
Thus, according to Havryliuk, since the beginning of 2016, about 20,000 servicemen have already joined the Ukrainian armed forces.
