NSDC confirms Ukrainian positions not shelled last night

Ukrainian security forces have recorded the cessation of shelling by Russian militants from approximately 23.00 on September 22.
Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing on Tuesday, Ukrinform’s correspondent reported.
“In general, we can say that the night was quiet,” he said.
He said that on September 22, militants made unsuccessful attempts to attack the strongholds of Ukrainian forces near the town of Avdiyivka and near the village of Nikishyne (Shakhtarsk district). All attacks repulsed, and terrorists suffered losses, he added.
In addition, the checkpoints and positions of Ukrainian troops, including at the Donetsk airport, were shelled, Lysenko said.
There were no casualties among Ukrainian military in the past 24 hours, he said.
