Night talks at Poroshenko Administration: Groysman still candidate for PM

Following the night talks in the Administration of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman is still considered to become a new Prime Minister, the sources close to the negotiations said, according to Ukrainian online newspaper Ukrainska Pravda.
Stepan Kubiv, who has recently been considered for the post of prime minister, may become First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy.
Thus, Groysman has achieved his goal to eliminate Vitaliy Kovalchuk from the government.
The post of Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine is vacant.
In addition, the government is still considering Vyacheslav Kyrylenko and Gennadiy Zubko for the post of deputy prime ministers.
However, MP Sergii Leshchenko told Ukrainska Pravda that ”Groysman actually represents an independent force at the talks, rather than the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko.”
As UaPosition reported earlier, head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc`s parliamentary faction Yuriy Lutsenko announced agreement that had eventually been reached on the candidacy of prime minister and the composition of a new Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers.
