NBU sells over $131 mln in March to support hryvnia

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) sold $131.2 million to banks at forex auctions in March, and bought $129.1 million from them, according to an update posted on the regulator`s website.
On March 15, the NBU sold the largest amount of currency, which was $60 million.
As UaPosition reported earlier, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank market as of March 1 stood at UAH 27.06/27.13 to the dollar. By the end of the month, hryvnia had strengthened to UAH 26.23/26.30 to the dollar.
