NABU gets technical equipment, software from U.S. Gov`t

In accordance with the agreements on international technical assistance, the U.S. Government transferred technical equipment, software, and office furniture to Ukraine`s newly-created anti-corruption watchdog, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU).
”Within the framework of the project titled ”Capacity development of the newly established anti-corruption bodies in combating high-ranking corruption in Ukraine,” the Department for law enforcement issues of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has provided the NABU with computer and server equipment (50 computers, five laptops, etc.), licensed software, printers, scanners, and copying machines (32 multifunctional devices), office equipment (telephones, fax machines, document shredders), as well as office furniture for equipment of workplaces of the NABU staff,” the NABU`s press service reports.
The NABU reminds that according to the Law of Ukraine ”On the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine,” the sources of financing of the Bureau are exclusively the state budget and funding under the ITA.
