Luhansk remains without electricity, water, food, fuel and communications

The situation in Luhansk is tense as the city remains with electricity, water supply and communications and there are difficulties with food supply and garbage removal, the press service of the Luhansk City Council has reported.
“The situation remained critical in Luhansk as of the morning of August 6 – there is no power, water supply, mobile and landline communications,” reads the statement.
According to the city council, armed clashes and shelling of the city continued last night.
Most shops are closed, and there is no food.
According to city residents, bread is brought and sold from portable stalls and some markets have working outlets, which sell mainly vegetables. Few of them sell meat.
There is no fuel in the city, and there are serious problems with garbage removal.
