Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu renewed recruiting for military service in Chechnya.
As reported by head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov in his Instagram, 500 Chechen youths were called for military service.
“It is particularly important that the minister at our request took a decision to recruit 500 young people for conscript service this year. This is done for the first time in many years. Further, the number of recruits will grow,” the head of Chechnya wrote.
Such statements were made by Kadyrov after a personal meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on September 18.
