Managing Director of the Individuals` Deposit Guarantee Fund Andriy Olenchyk says that the Fund estimates the amount of compensation to be paid to depositors of Kyiv`s insolvent Khreschatyk Bank at UAH 2.8 billion.
The Fund will begin repayments no later than on the 20th working day after provisional administration has been introduced at the bank, he said.
In his words, 98.7% of the depositors, or 304,000 people, will receive reimbursements in full.
The Fund has enough funds to handle the repayments, Olenchyk added.
As UaPosition reported earlier, the Individuals` Deposit Guarantee Fund introduced the provisional administration at the bank after the National Bank of Ukraine designated it as insolvent on April 5.
