Germany to send humanitarian convoy to Ukraine

A humanitarian aid convoy from Germany will arrive in Ukraine on October 6-7.
Deputy Head of the State Fiscal Service and Head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Anatoliy Makarenko said this at a briefing on Tuesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“The German government has allocated EUR 18 million as part of one project for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. We are preparing to welcome the German convoy on October 6-7. These will be construction materials for building temporary housing, and generating stations. It will be real humanitarian aid, not 600 kilograms of tea [from Russia],” he said.
He said that a convoy of about 100 vehicles would enter Ukraine through the Yahodyn checkpoint.
