Naftogaz receives an invoice on advance payment for gas supply from Gazprom, however, it will make payment in case that Ukraine needs to start the purchase of gas from Russia.
The Naftogaz press service told Apostrophe.
“We received an invoice, and we will pay only for those gas volumes, which we need,” the company said.
Naftogaz also noted that gas purchases on advance payment from Gazprom may start only in case of need. At the same time, the press service did not specify the amount in the invoice.
Earlier, on Friday, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that the Russian side expects from Naftogaz the advance payment for November over nearest days.
