Russia will take part in tripartite negotiations on gas in the Ukraine-Russia-EU format in Berlin, September 26.
Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told on Friday, RIA Novosti reported.
“On September 26, in Berlin,” Novak said, answering a question about the time of the trilateral meeting of Russia,the EU and Ukraine on gas. This date suits all parties, he said.
As the minister noted, Russia will insist on repayment of a debt on gas by Naftogaz of Ukraine for 2013, and two months of this year.
“Our position remains unchanged – repayment for November-December 2013, a partial repayment for May and April, a total of about USD 2 billion,” he said.
To remind, Russia refused to participate in a tripartite meeting in Berlin, September 20, proposed by the European Commission, because of a “tight schedule” of Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak.
