Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the EU Member States and Ukraine may be held on Monday, January 26.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council on Sunday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“The meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers, where the following arrangements for ensuring security of Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia will be done, should be held tomorrow,” he said.
As reported, Latvia, holding the Presidency of the Council of the EU, has strongly condemned a new escalation of the conflict in the east of Ukraine and called for an emergency meeting of the EU Council at the Foreign Ministers level.
