EU to transfer EUR 500 mln to Ukraine this year

The EU will transfer EUR 500 million as macro-financial assistance to Ukraine next month.
EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn said this at a meeting with the business community in Kyiv on Friday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
It is expected that the European Union will give Ukraine 500 million euros in December, he said.
Hahn recalled that it had already been decided to allocate EUR 55 million to Ukraine to fund the regional policy support program that will help implement the State Regional Development Strategy 2020. He said that the funds were allocated for three years: EUR 50 million would be spent on specific measures and another EUR 5 million on technical assistance, including trainings.
