EU includes 13 separatists and 5 companies in sanctions list

The EU’s sanctions list has been expanded with 13 separatists operating in eastern Ukraine and five companies.
A senior European diplomat told this to a Ukrinform correspondent in Brussels on Thursday after a meeting of ambassadors of the EU member states.
EU ambassadors approved additional sanctions against separatists operating in eastern Ukraine, the diplomat said. Visa bans and asset freezes were applied to 13 persons, and the assets of five companies were also frozen, he said. This was done due to their involvement in acts undermining the territorial integrity of Ukraine, he added.
The names of separatists and companies names will be released on Saturday in the Official Journal of the EU.
