Egypt may allow imports of Ukrainian beef

Egypt and Ukraine are agreeing a draft veterinary certificate which will allow Ukrainian producers to supply chilled and frozen boneless beef to the Egyptian market, the press service of the Ukrainian State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Rights Protection reported.
”The Ukrainian side has submitted for consideration of Egyptian colleagues a draft of veterinary certificate for chilled and frozen boneless beef,” a statement reads.
As UNIAN reported earlier, in August last year Ukrainian farmers received a permission to export chicken meat to Egypt. Export quota was set at 12,000 tonnes. Egypt was the second major destination after China for Ukrainian agricultural producers last year.
