People in Donetsk voted in pseudo-elections for new reality in a country that does not exist, according to an article published by Britain’s Guardian newspaper, ZN.ua has reported.
“Donetsk votes for new reality in a country that does not exist… But then the Donetsk People’s Republic is no normal country. It is no country at all, according to most of the world. But the vote for prime minister here and in neighboring Luhansk region on Sunday was one more step towards creating a new reality on the ground and carving out a chunk of Ukraine that will no longer be controlled by Kyiv,” reads the article.
According to the article, with armed men in the polling station, no voter lists, and international observers coming from an organization concocted the night before the vote, these were no normal elections.
According to the newspaper, Moscow has already stated that it will recognize the results of a vote organized by terrorists, whereas the EU, the U.S. and the OSCE announced that it has nothing to do with elections.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that the so-called international “observers” that were positioned by pro-Russian fighters as independent foreign forces controlling the “elections” in the occupied Donbas had violated Ukrainian law. The Security Service of Ukraine has already warned that all of them will be declared personae non gratae in Ukraine.
