Dniprodzerzhynsk renamed Kamianske

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a resolution to rename separate settlements and districts (No. 4085), which, in particular, relates to the town of Dniprodzerzhynsk, which regained its historical name Kamianske, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
The decision was supported by 249 out of the 344 MPs registered in the session hall.
According to one of the authors of the draft resolution, MP from the People`s Front Mykola Fedoruk, the resolution refers to the renaming of nine districts, six towns and 284 villages and settlements in Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Rivne, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Lviv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions.
The decision will enter into force on the day following the day of its publication.
