CCTV cameras record planting of bomb in Sheremet`s car – Media

CCTV cameras have recorded the planting of a bomb in the car that journalist Pavlo Sheremet was driving when he was killed in an explosion on July 20, Ukrainian newspaper Zerkalo Nedeli reported, citing a source in the police.
The recording was made on the night of July 20, according to the source. There is no official confirmation of this information yet.
The police source also told the newspaper that ”the amount of explosive used was only enough to target the driver, and nobody around.”
”It was intended to target only the victim of the murder,” the source said, according to the newspaper.
As was reported earlier, Pavlo Sheremet, a journalist working for the Ukrainska Pravda online newspaper, was killed in a car blast on July 20. The car being driven by Sheremet belonged to Olena Prytula, his common-law wife and the owner of Ukrainska Pravda.
Law enforcement officers are considering four main versions. One version ties Sheremet`s death with his professional activity. According to another version, personal issues or hostile relations may be the motive for the murder. The third version points to the possibility of Russia`s special services involvement, aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country. The fourth version claims the explosion may have been an attempt on the life of Olena Prytula.
