Canada to allocate $160 mln for stability in Ukraine

The Government of Canada has decided to provide C$200 million ($160 million) low-interest loan to Ukraine.
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said this, reads a statement released on his official web site.
Harper says that “the loan announced today will help promote economic and social stability in Ukraine.”
According to the statement, “the loan will include necessary safeguards to ensure accountability and transparency with respect to the use of funds.”
Besides, the statement reads that the allocation of the loan is conditional on the approval of the next review of Ukraine’s International Monetary Fund (IMF) support program.
