Russian offensive actions and impact on civilians
The Russian Federation, suffering significant losses, continues to wage an aggressive war. It continues to employ tactics of terror, attempting to intimidate the population of Ukraine, striking both military and civilian targets.
During the past day, the Russian Federation launched another massive aviation strike on Ukrainian territory, including the capital of our country, using the Shahed-136/131 attack drones. Ukrainian troops destroyed 29 out of 31 drones. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population, with private residential buildings and other civilian and administrative infrastructure being damaged.
Overall, during the day, the Russian army carried out 44 airstrikes and 1 missile strike, conducting approximately 20 shelling attacks with multiple rocket launch systems on the positions of Ukrainian soldiers and populated areas.
The probability of missile and aviation strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine remains high.
The Russian army continues to concentrate its main efforts on attempts to fully occupy the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. During the day, Ukrainian troops repelled 11 Russian attacks.

Intensified frontline clashes and epicenters of conflict
- The operational situation remains stable on the Volyn and Polissya directions, with no signs of Russian formations detected.
- On the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the Russian army continues to maintain a military presence in border areas with Ukraine. During this day, it made an unsuccessful attempt to infiltrate a sabotage and reconnaissance group through the Ukrainian State Border near the settlement of Zelene in the Kharkiv region. Additionally, Russian troops conducted an airstrike in the area of the village of Udi and carried out mortar and artillery shelling on the populated areas of Yanzhulivka and Karpovychi in the Chernihiv region, as well as Seredyna-Buda, Fotovysh, and Velyka Pysarivka in the Sumy region.
- On the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army conducted unsuccessful offensive operations west of Masyutivka in the Kharkiv region and in the direction of Novoselivka in the Luhansk region. Russian artillery and mortar shelling affected Kamianka, Novomyrhorod, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region.
- On the Lyman direction, Russian soldiers did not conduct any offensive actions during the day. They carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Yampolivka in the Donetsk region. Artillery shelling affected Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Spirne in the Donetsk region.
- On the Bahmut direction, the Russian army did not conduct any offensive actions during the day. It carried out an airstrike in the area of Veseloye and a missile strike in the area of Novyi Yarychiv in the Donetsk region. The towns of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Khromove, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, Pivnichne, Zalizne, and Novyi Yarychiv in the Donetsk region were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
- On the Avdiivka direction, the Russian army conducted offensive actions towards the north but did not achieve success. It carried out airstrikes in the area of Avdiivka and conducted artillery shelling on the populated areas of Avdiivka, Orlivka, Pervomaiske, and Netaylove in the Donetsk region.
- On the Marinka direction, Ukrainian troops repelled all Russian attacks in the area of the city of Marinka, as well as towards the settlements of Pobeda and Novomykhailivka. At the same time, the Russian army conducted an airstrike within the territory of Marinka, and artillery shelling affected Georgiyivka and Pobeda in the Donetsk region.
- On the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russian army conducted an airstrike in the area of Velyka Novosilka. It carried out shelling on the populated areas of Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Shakhtarske.
- On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian army continues to conduct defensive actions. It conducted an airstrike in the area of Orikhove in the Zaporizhzhia region. Russian troops carried out shelling on the populated areas of Zelene Pole, Novopil, and Temirivka in the Donetsk region; Olhivske, Huliaypole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, and Stepove in the Zaporizhzhia region; Sadove, Komyshany, and Kizomys in the Kherson region.
Ukrainian countermeasures
During the day, Ukrainian aviation conducted 8 strikes on Russian personnel and military equipment concentration areas.
The missile forces and artillery units targeted 3 command posts, Russian troops’ concentration area, 4 artillery units in firing positions, an anti-aircraft missile complex, 3 fuel and lubricant depots, and a radio-electronic warfare station.
