On July 19, 2015, the ATO press center informs that the situation in Eastern Ukraine remained tense. Terrorists shelled Vodiane village with heavy artillery on July 18, 2015:
“The Russian terrorist forces have been shelling Vodiane village for an hour and a half with 152-mm guns, 122-mm mortars, and tanks. According to preliminary data, there are killed and injured civilians,” reports the ATO Press Center.
At 9.30 p.m. terrorists shelled the town of Avdiivka and Avdiivka Coke Plant with 152-mm artillery.
“On July 18, 2015, pro-Russian militants violated the cease-fire 50 times firing at the ATO forces’ positions and civilians along the front line from 8p.m. till 12a.m. More than 30 times they used banned 152-mm, 122-mm guns and 120-mm mortars near the town of Avdiivka and villages of Opytne, Pisky, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Tonenke, Starohnativka, Novoselivka, Pervomaiske, Verkhniotoretske. Shyrokyne, Stanytsia Luhanska, Chermalyk villages and the town of Shchastia were fired by Russian terrorists from small arms,” informs the ATO Press Center.
On July 18, 2015, the flights of 11 enemy’s UAVs were spotted in the ATO zone.
As of 6 a.m. on July 19, 2015, the Russian terrorist forces continue to fire at the ATO forces’ positions. Violating the agreement on cease-fire, the terrorists fired from banned howitzers and mortars at Avdiivka, Opytne, Berezove, and Pervomaiske.
“The ATO forces bravely held defensive positions and are prepared for any course of events,” states the ATO Press Center.
